Special (used) Book Sales for 2008 will be:
The bookstore has a collection of thousands of books ranging from non-fictional accounts of naval battles, gardening, cooking, home decorating/repair/maintenance and children's books to that steamy romance novel.
Books are priced as follows: $1.00 for hardbacks, $0.50 for paperbacks, $0.50 for children's books, and $0.25 for magazines. Other special books are priced with individual tags. The magazines include Gardening, House & Garden, home décor, and cooking magazines. When paying for your books, please leave correct change (our kind Librarians may be able to occasionally make change) or a check, in our cash box located in the bookstore room.
We hold extra-special books for sale only at our "special event booksales." See below for information on upcoming special booksales.
Special events listings to be posted as they come up (check our "Upcoming Events" page).
Occasionally, we have special items for sale through the bookstore. These may include: sets of books, book bags, T-shirts, coffee mugs and other miscellaneous items. The only way you'll know about these specials is to drop by our bookstore!
We also often have periodic raffles, and those items will be prominently displayed in the Library.
The bookstore can't operate without the generous donations of used books in good condition. We cannot accept textbooks, badly worn books, damaged (or smelly!) books, abridged books, or weekly newsmagazines. We're always eager to accept good quality books that can help support our Library!
If you have any books that meet the criteria above and would like to donate them, feel free to drop them off at the Library during normal hours of operation; the Library staff will be happy to assist you with the donation.
Our annual Plant and Book sale is held on the first Saturday of May. We always need donated plants for this annual event. If you have some plants that you think others might like to enjoy, pot them up and bring them to the Plant sale.
Our cheery Bookstore Manager is Gigi Weixler and she's always eager for your feedback on the bookstore operations. If you would like to contact her, please call at 360-769-2258.
