The meeting was called to order by R. Rada at the Family Inn (no one picked up the key).
Treasurers report: Debbie looked at Quickbooks which costs $299.00. and will look at a website that deals with 501c’s organizations. www.NCNA.org.
No new mail and balance remains unchanged.
Crime prevention/Safety – This group was very productive at the Plan revision meeting and continues to meet weekly. They have many suggestions for the plan review.
MCA – This group has an Easter egg Hunt On April 7th with the “Bunny Hop” from 10-3PM that day. Street-side clean-up in May 19th. Street festival is tentatively schedule for July 21st.
Historical Society – See web-site for current information.
Manchester Foundation – has a meeting next week.
Downtown Design Committee- This group has been very busy. They sent an e-mail and hand delivered a letter to Larry Keeton (4/2) requesting a review of the current subarea plan as it pertains to 3 key issues (Height, Compatibility, and rural designation). They presented what they had written so far to the Plan Revision group and received some feedback. They will meet on Tuesday 4/3 to continue writing the design standards.
Village Commons- At the last general meeting this was voted to be a priority for the MCC. It was proposed that at the next general meeting we vote to petition the Port to purchase properties behind the library for future community center/library.
Citizen of the year- many of the exec board members are uncomfortable with this. A motion will be made at the next general meeting to discontinue with this.
Next meeting for the Sub-area Plan revision is the 17th
at 6:30 at the Courthouse.
Next regular meeting is 4/24
