Port Resolutions

The following is an outline of the twelve resolution ideas that were approved by the Port of Manchester.  This list was presented by Commissioner Jim Strode at the Kitsap All Ports meeting in Silverdale on October 17, 2005.  The attorney for the All Ports group was very responsive to the results of our study and proposal, he advised all other Port representatives to plan to have a proposal from their group to present at the next All Ports meeting, for consideration.  Following the preparation of a resolutions outline, the next step would be for their group to take their recommendations to the Kitsap County Commissioners for establishing county ordinances that would result in the Sheriff's Department being authorized to enforce the law in the port areas, in the event of an emergency.  This is a positive move forward and thanks go out to all of you who have been of so much assistance.
