5/20/09 - Check out the new "welcome" sign for Manchester (located at Mile Hill and Colchester). This project was spearheaded by Port Commissioner Steve Pedersen and paid for through local donations!!! Many thanks to everyone who donated and pitched in to make this project happen!
In an e-mail to the folks involved in getting this sign up - Steve wrote:
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have made this Beautiful Sign a Reality. Words cannot describe the tremendous feeling of pride in this entire community, to come together for this crazy project of mine. My only regret is that my parents and all there wonderful contemporaries who have worked so hard over the last several decades are not here to see that the seeds that they planted in this community is alive and well in each and every one of you.
