Another successful Salmon Bake! Rain and all... there were still over 600 meals served and about $10,000 raised for the library! The Book Sale was a big success, and the cookies and other items for sale contributed to the total as well. Overall, it was a great success!
Many thanks to all the volunteers who work so hard each year to make this event possible. And thanks to all the celebrity servers - Senator Kilmer, Representative Seaquist, Commissioner Garrido, Sheriff Boyer.
The June 12, 2009
edition of the Port Orchard-Life newspaper had a great article on our

- the drawing
will be held on September 12th.
The funds raised from this raffle will help off-set the cost of the
Manchester Sign now installed at Colchester and Mile Hill.
The Salmon Bake is brought to you every year on Father's Day by the Friends of the Manchester Library. This is our Library's biggest fund raiser of the year, and a great way to come out and spend some time with your Manchester neighbors. All proceeds from the Salmon Bake go toward the operational expenses of the library, including utilities, building maintenance, children's programs, etc.
